ISO/IEC publishes latest version of OpenDocument Format as International Standard 26300:2015
ISO/IEC have published International Standard 26300-1:2015, better known as the Open Document Format for Office Applications (OpenDocument) Version 1.2. ODF defines a technical schema for office documents including text documents, spreadsheets, charts and graphical documents like drawings or presentations.
The OpenDocument Format standard is developed by the OASIS consortium. The current version was published already some time ago, in 2011, after which the standard was formally submitted to ISO/IECT in 2014. Currently the standard is currently available as a paid download (in three parts: the schema, formula definition and packages) from the website of ISO/IEC, but as with the previous version of the standard it should be added soon to the repository of Publicly Available Standards as a free download.
Meanwhile, if you want to read the standard you can download the Open Document Format v1.2 standard (available as ODF (authoritative), PDF, and HTML) from the OASIS ODF TC website. These versions should be identical.
ISO/IEC JTC 1/SC 34 is the international standardization subcommittee for Document Description and Processing Languages standards and technical reports related to structured markup languages (specifically the Standard Generalized Markup Language (SGML) and the Extensible Markup Language (XML)) in the areas of information description, processing and association.
ISO/IEC JTC 1/SC 34 WG 6 (OpenDocument Format) is concerned with All SC 34 projects and activities relating to the maintenance of ISO/IEC 26300 OpenDocument Format. It collaborates with the OASIS ODF TC in the maintenance of and other work exclusively related to ISO/IEC 26300, in accordance with the maintenance principles and procedures jointly agreed by OASIS and JTC 1. This includes all projects and activities related to ISO/IEC 26300 previously carried out by WG 1 and Ad Hoc Group 3.
